Summer Fun

The weather in Las Vegas has been beautiful this summer. No super hot temperatures yet. Father's Day is coming this weekend, and with it my dad's 78th birthday on Friday, Megan's 21st birthday on Monday, and then Sean's around the corner, right after that is my moms 69th, then Joel's at the end of July, then Megan and Joel 2nd Wedding Anniversary the same week as Curtis and my 31st Anniversary. We are not sure yet if we can make it to the Warren's famous 4th of July Celebration yet..but we did send them some Crackling Whip to help with the festivities of the day anyway. I think it is quite interesting that our two son-in-laws have their birthdays the same month. Both in July, along with my mom's. We have a pool in our Condo complex, and hope to use it soon. We have just started using the exercise room there. We are enjoying the nice weather, and looking forward to all the B-day celebrating.

The Wonderful Wedding is a Memory now!

Kirsten and Sean Creel were sealed on May 2nd in the Las Vegas, Nevada Temple. All of our children were present, as well as many family members and friends. Everything came off without a hitch. We were really blessed. We so enjoyed the company that came to town. It was terrific to be with everyone. I have many favorite moments...one was when Alice from the Palace arrived. She is a very loved baby, and we all swarmed in on her. She ate up the attention, and we captured the most wonderful photo of her in Kirsten's arms smiling a huge, big smile for us all. I also loved being in the brides room with Kirsten, and being able to hold her hand in the sealing room, listening to the sealer speak was a tender moment. Watching Sean and Kirsten get sealed sent chills up my spine. It was so touching to see them there at the alter. A huge reward to parenting. Just the best. The reception was lovely...it was just a very joyous day! I woke up at 4:30am and went to bed at around 1:30pm. It was one of the favorite days of my life. I just loved it. Thank you to everyone who took part in making it that way! Especially a big thank you to all my children and their spouses, and child you are the lights of my life.

Getting Ready for Kirsten & Sean's Wedding

It is Tuesday and the wedding is Saturday. Elise and Krista come into town late tomorrow night, then the real fun begins. Manicures, pedicures, ext. Joel and Megan will arrive some time on Friday. Joel was able to get Friday off from his new job, yeah! We are so looking forward to having many family members present for this wonderful occassion. Everyone is looking forward to seeing Alice, our first grand child. She is 2 months old now, and doing great. She is so adorable, and sweet. Today I have been working for my job with Air Service, and also doing some house work. Thank you to everyone who will be spending some time with us over the weekend, and we will also being thinking of all of you who could not make it for one reason or another.

Going to visit Alice

We are finally grandparents, thanks to Joel and Megan. Alice is going to be blessed this Sunday, on Easter. We are so excited to be able to go to Provo for this momentous celebration. Sean and Kirsten will also be present, and many of the Warren's. We are taking the camera, and will have photos to share!
